PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the pedestrian-only Atal Bridge over the Sabarmati river in Ahmedabad city. The Municipal Corporation has named it after former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Atal Bridge is a pedestrian bridge on the Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Its design is inspired by kites. The bridge, 300 meters (980 ft) long and 10 to 14 meters (33 to 46 ft) wide, was scheduled to be inaugurated in 2022.

inaugurated the Atal Bridge on Sabarmati River in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on
Saturday (27 August 2022). PM Modi addressed a gathering at the Khadi Utsav
program organized at Sabarmati Riverfront. The Prime Minister launched the foot
over bridge from this place. At the same time, a day before the inauguration,
PM Modi had shared pictures of the bridge on his Twitter account. He wrote-
